Sorry for the wording of the question, but I could not imagine asking a better way to do this.

When I look at the LED clock my DVD player search, for example, and when it dark in the room I can see light rays perfectly right out of the right LED Clock DVD into your eyes.

My question is:
allowing the light from the LED digital watch DVDs, to create one .... The perfect light in the eye? Or is it just an optical illusion created by our eyes and brain?
